Upcoming Special Events

Adults and children both enjoy a beautiful fall weekend in Montreat, NC at the William Black Lodge. Led by James Klotz, we will explore Isaiah's texts related to God's call on our lives, hope for the future in uncertain times, the wide embrace of all people in the community of faith, and the vision of justice, peace, and flourishing for all creation. We will also touch on the ways Isaiah is interpreted in art and music. Montreat will be a perfect setting as we answer the prophet's call to "get thee up into the high mountain" and proclaim the vision of hope. Members are already signing up for this year's retreat, October 19-21, 2018. Get the registration form here.

Morningside's 2018 Summer Musical Gala is being offered at two performances. "Morningside Sings Jerry Herman" will be presented Saturday evening, August 18, and Sunday afternoon, August 19. Make a note of these dates! Those who wish to donate $100 or more to support the programs our annual free gala benefits also will be invited to a patrons' party and preview in July.

Two events highlight the Christmas season at MPC: our annual Christmas Pageant followed by a soup/chili supper and carol sing will take place in Fellowship Hall. And our Sanctuary is always filled with people, music and dramatic light on Christmas Eve as we welcome all to two services—a family-oriented 4:00 p.m. worship and our traditional Candlelight Service of Lessons and Carols featuring our Chancel Choir and guest musicians at 8:00 p.m.
