Dr. Jonathan Crutchfield joined MPC as Organist/Choirmaster in September 2015, when he also became responsible for our Children's Choir programs.
With more than 30 years in organ performance and choral conducting, Dr. Crutchfield most recently served at Myers Park Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC. He holds a bachelor's degree in piano performance from Southern Wesleyan University, a master's degree in choral conducting from Florida State University, and a doctorate in choral conducting from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Jonathan has accompanied choirs and soloists internationally and is a published composer of works for organ, brass, and human voice. He has taught music in South Africa under the auspices of the International Partnership for Choral Music Education. He is a collaborative pianist at Georgia State University, and collaborates as keyboardist for the professional Atlanta choral ensemble, Coro Vocati.
