First Fridays on the Front Steps

Friday, September 5, 6:30 p.m.
All are welcome as we kick off our fall First Fridays on the Front Steps local music series! Live music from The Way Homers will begin at 7:00 p.m., and the Kona Ice truck will be available 6:45–7:45 p.m. We'll be popping popcorn, but bring any other food and drinks you'd like along with lawn chairs or a blanket! This all ages event will have plenty of fun and fellowship for all.

Nancy Frampton Rising Artists Series

Saturday, September 20, 7:00 p.m.
“Chopin is the greatest of all, for with the piano alone he discovered everything,” according to Debussy. Chopin’s sorrow, joy, and tenderness in the hands of 21-year-old Chinese pianist Yang (Jack) Gao is sure to captivate and thrill. Gao, first-prize winner of the 2023 Naumburg International Piano Competition and 2024 Munz Piano Competition, will perform an all-Chopin concert on Saturday, September 20 at 7 p.m. at Morningside Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia, as part of his preparation for the 2025 Chopin International Piano Competition. Hailed as virtuosic, effortless, and passionate, we invite you to witness one of tomorrow’s most promising musicians.

WELCOME TO MPC!

Come as you are, knowing that you may well be changed by your time here! We believe that when you participate in this community of faith, you can experience the presence of God through worship, fellowship, music, mission and study as we JOURNEY TOGETHER.

Morningside Presbyterian Church never stops striving to “be the church” together. Worship with us on Sunday morning either in-person or online through a livestream link to our YouTube channel. Beyond worship, you can learn about ways to connect to our community of faith through our weekly emails and our Events page.

Through every change and challenge we face, we are still the church united by Jesus Christ. If you have a need, a concern, or a joy to share, or would simply like to learn more, please reach out to one of our pastors.
