FAQs

Do you rent your church out for non-member weddings?

The pastor officiates at weddings for our members in our sanctuary. Because worship is necessarily communal in nature, non-members wishing to be married at Morningside must have a demonstrated and lengthy pattern of worship attendance at our church. The sanctuary of Morningside Presbyterian Church is not available to rent for outside weddings. For more information or clarification, or to plan your wedding if a member, contact the church office.

Do you rent your church to community and non-profit organizations for meetings and functions?

Morningside Presbyterian Church hosts a number of events open to the public, as well as providing a home for various non-church groups and activities. Click here to see a copy of our building-use policy and forms to request use of our facilities.

Do you give rental assistance?

Our church gives no direct assistance. We work through agencies such as Intown Collaborative Ministries to help those facing homelessness.

Do you know any other church in the area who gives direct assistance to individuals?

No. Every church has its own policies.

Are the Preschool and church phones connected?

Morningside Presbyterian Preschool can be reached directly at 404 685.8758. To learn about MPP’s hours of operation, contact information, policies and other data, go to the homepage of our website and click on the MPP logo.

How do I sign up to put flowers on the communion table? What florist does the church use?

There is a sign-up sheet in the main hall near the Session Room where you can view dates available to sponsor flowers for our chancel. If it is inconvenient for you to come to the church, email the church office with your requested dates and someone will get back to you to secure that date or suggest open dates. If your gift of flowers honors individuals or events, let the church office know so that the gift can be acknowledged in our weekly Life@Morningside. Our flowers come from Vann Jernigan Florist, 1529 Piedmont Ave NE # C, Atlanta, GA 30324. Phone: 404 881.9790. Toll Free: 1-800-562-9825. The florist has all the specifications to provide suitable arrangements for our Sanctuary.
