Amanda Kemery graduated from Candler School of Theology at Emory University with her Master of Divinity in 2016. She has served in ministry since 2011 as a Christian Educator and program director with children, youth, and adults. Just prior to her work at Morningside, she served at Northwest Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, GA as their Director of Youth Ministries for six years. In addition to her work as a pastor, Amanda is an avid supporter of the Montreat Youth Conferences, serving the conference annually including as Co-Director of the Theta conference in 2023.

Amanda calls Atlanta home and grew up in the Lakeside area of the city. Before moving home to complete her master’s degree, Amanda attended the College of Charleston in SC, majoring in Special Education. She spent many years in Charleston and Atlanta as a special educator in addition to her work in ministry. Amanda is thrilled to combine her passions of education and ministry to serve the congregation of Morningside Presbyterian!

Outside of work, Amanda and her husband TJ live in NE Atlanta with their three year-old daughter, Emmie, and enjoy exploring Atlanta's parks, visiting local breweries, and rooting on the Atlanta sports teams.
