Jim Martin will lead this Sunday's discussion centering on homelessness and racial inequality.

PreK/K and Grades 1-5 will discuss the ministry and life of Jesus.

The Poetry Group, led by Baron Mullis, will meet Thursday, January 11, in Baron's office at 12:30 p.m. No knowledge of poetry is required. You are welcome to bring lunch with you. Please RSVP to the 
MPC Couples is back at it again! The Bremers will host on Friday, January 12 at their home, 785 Cumberland Rd. NE.  Please plan to join them, and feel free to share the invitation with others who may enjoy the group!  
Morningside is providing volunteers at Shearith Israel's Women's Shelter, Rebecca's Tent., as part of our mission outreach program.  Volunteers serve from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The kitchen is cleaned up before leaving. The dates that we have committed to provide volunteers are:Wednesday, January 10 - Sunday, 14 and Wednesday, February 7 - Sunday, 11.  If you can help on any of these dates, please sign up by posting your name/e-mail address on the Mission Board at church.  You will receive a reminder about a week prior to your commitment with additional information. Men are welcome to serve also. If you have any questions, please e-mail Phyllis GrimesAlso, we will be collecting $10 gift cards (Walmart, McDonald's) for Valentine gifts for the homeless women in January.
Morningside Presbyterian Preschool is partnering with Doc Chey's (Morningside location) for a new kind of Dine Out. Eat at Doc Chey's anytime (lunch or dinner, dine in or take out) from Monday, January 15 - Sunday, January 21. Tell them you are supporting MPP, and they will give 25% of sales to the Preschool. Such an easy and fun way to support programs, materials and property improvements for the children. The preschool will have a few age group gatherings Tuesday - Thursday evenings, but everyone is welcome at any time!
Early registration opens Tuesday, January 16 for returning students, siblings and church members. The application form is available to be printed from the website and turned in with $100 registration fee to Director Melinda Sandkam no later than Friday, January 26. Registration opens to the community on Thursday, February 1.  The final group tour is on Friday, January 12 at 9:15 a.m. RSVP to Melinda or contact her for an individual tour.
On Monday, January 22, we're excited to welcome Rev. Emma Neishloss, new Associate Pastor, as our speaker. Come for dinner and fellowship at 6:30 p.m. This month's host is Bobbie McCrackin, 790 Castle Falls Drive, 30329. RSVP to Sarah Brownlee
We invite you all to share your time and talents to help begin renovation of the campus of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church. A former 1500-member congregation, changed over the years due to population diversification, this campus is centrally located in the heart of Clarkston, GA, the most diverse square miles in the U.S. Home to 5 worshiping communities and multiple mission partners as well as multiple athletic groups using the full-sized gym. Work packages include cleanup of yard debris, removal of trash from rooms, minor and moderate repair of walls, ceilings, fixtures, plumbing and electrical.
