FAITH FORMATION FOR FAMILIES
Katye and Alex Watts will discuss "How do we understand ourselves as Christians in a pluralistic world? How do I explain others faiths or no faith to my kids?"

CHILDREN
PreK/K and Grades 1-5 will learn about Jesus' baptism this Sunday.

THEOLOGY ON TAP
Join us for Theology on Tap tonight at 7 p.m. at the home of Pam and Ken Sharpe. The Sharpe's are located at 1700 Timberland Road, Atlanta, 30345. Please RSVP only if you WILL attend here.

MUSIC MINISTRY
Our music ministry will be adding handbell players starting January. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings, 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. starting Thursday, January 4. The handbells play during worship service every six weeks. Please reach out to Jeff Peters or Jack Klotz to be a part of Morningside's handbell music ministry.
 
LGBT & FRIENDS
Please join us on Tuesday, January 9 when we welcome guest speaker, Keith Peri, Certified Travel Consultant. Keith will be sharing with us what travel destinations are hot (literally and figuratively) and what destinations to avoid.  We will gather from 7 - 9 p.m. at the home of Carolyn and Peter Cobb, 1150 Saint Charles Place, Atlanta 30306. We ask for a small goodwill donation of $10 per person to cover the cost of food and drink. Please RSVP to Michael Siedschlag.
 
REBECCA'S TENT WOMEN'S SHELTER  
Morningside is providing volunteers at Shearith Israel's Women's Shelter, Rebecca's Tent., as part of our mission outreach program.  Volunteers serve from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The kitchen is cleaned up before leaving. The dates that we have committed to provide volunteers are:Wednesday, January 10 - Sunday, 14 and Wednesday, February 7 - Sunday, 11.  If you can help on any of these dates, please sign up by posting your name/e-mail address on the Mission Board at church.  You will receive a reminder about a week prior to your commitment with additional information. Men are welcome to serve also. If you have any questions, please e-mail Phyllis GrimesAlso, we will be collecting $10 gift cards (Walmart, McDonald's) for Valentine gifts for the homeless women in January.
 
MPC COUPLES 
MPC Couples is back at it again! The Bremers will host on Friday, January 12  at their home, 785 Cumberland Rd. NE.  Please plan to join them, and feel free to share the invitation with others who may enjoy the group! RSVP here.
 
RENOVATION BEGINS SOON
We invite you all to share your time and talents to help begin renovation of the campus of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church. A former 1500-member congregation, changed over the years due to population diversification, this campus is centrally located in the heart of Clarkston, GA, the most diverse square miles in the U.S. Home to 5 worshiping communities and multiple mission partners as well as multiple athletic groups using the full-sized gym. Work packages include cleanup of yard debris, removal of trash from rooms, minor and moderate repair of walls, ceilings, fixtures, plumbing and electrical.
