Faith Development
How can film be a medium for engaging with our faith? How can film be used as a tool to engage more deeply with our faith and to see the Gospel from a different perspective? These questions begin our three week study of faith and film led by Anna Miles.

Parenting Class
Mardee Rightmyer will lead a discussion on what prayer is.

Grades 1- 5
Using Psalm 8 as inspiration, Dr. David Wingert, Astronomy Professor at Georgia State will share "the Stuff of Stars". He is not to be missed, you guys!

Grades 6 - 12
You will be exploring the lectionary texts used in worship.


Children's Ministries Director Mardee Rightmyer is signing up cast members for our 2017 Christmas Pageant which will be performed in our Sanctuary on Sunday, December 10 at 5:30 p.m. The age range is  Pre-K through fifth grade. We also need "stage parent" volunteers. Current MPC and MPP parents will receive information about how to sign up and rehearsal schedules-but if your child would like to participate and you do not receive the info, let Mardee know.

All are invited to join LGBT & Friends today. LGBT & Friends welcomes all who wish to grow and be energized through Christian fellowship and service. Michael Siedschlag will facilitate this month's Thanksgiving discussion: "Giving Thanks". The meeting, including dinner, will be at the home of Christian Bromley and Christopher Crowder, 1870 Wellbourne Dr NE, 30324 from 7 - 9 p.m. RSVP to Michael Siedschlag
The Concert Choir from the University of South Carolina will lead in worship at 11 a.m., then will present a free concert at 3 p.m. Under the direction of Dr. Alicia Walker, as part of the concert the choir will sing one of choral music's most famous compositions - the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis (Collegium Regale) by Herbert Howells.
If you've read the best-selling novel The Essex Serpent by Sarah            Perry, or just want an excuse to wait around for the choral concert to begin, you're invited to the Session Room by our co-ed book group, the RHO Readers for a discussion led by Carol Senf on Sunday, November 19. Discussions are informal and open to all. 
Join in to help prepare a dinner for the men at Clifton Shelter on Saturday, November 25. Please pick-a-pan from the Narthex on Sunday, November 19 and bring your dish to the Clifton Shelter by 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 22. Contact Ann Watson at 404.273.9515or via email if you have questions. We have a great time sharing the evening these men, however it is not necessary for you to stay and serve.
On Monday, November 27, our speaker is Emily Golub, owner and founder of Garnish & Gather. Learn about G&G's meal kits featuring chef-created recipes and food sourced from Georgia farmers. Come for dinner and fellowship at 6:30 p.mThis month's host is Lynn Young, 277 The Prado, 30309. RSVP to Sanda Means.
We provide childcare during worship for infants through kindergarten and we are looking for a few good folks to volunteer their time to play with these littlest members. We especially need help in the PreK/Kindergarten age group. We want to provide safe and fun childcare and can't do it without you! We'll have suggested activities, so no lesson planning required! Please contact Mardee Rightmyer or 404.876.7396 to volunteer. 
Come support MPC's Handbell Choir, featured in this year's Holiday Concert Celebration with the Atlanta Gay Men's Chorus. Our choir will be playing several Christmas classics including "Go Tell It on the Mountain" and "Silver Bells." Performances are at The Cathedral of St. Philip on Friday, December 8 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, December 9 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tickets are available here
Christmas Pageant music rehearsal will take place this Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. All children PreK through 5th grade are invited. Please contact Jonathan if you have any questions.
