COLLECTION FOR DOBBS
Please support our partnership with Dobbs Elementary school as the teachers prepare for the new school year. We are collecting items to stock their classrooms and student incentive closet. Please see the list of requested items on the Mission bulletin board or on the church website under the "Serve" link. The deadline for items is Sunday, July 30 when we will host Principal Dr. Charnita West for our Minute Message.

THOUGHT OF THE WEEK
"People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anymore." - Audrey Hepburn

BACK TO SCHOOL LUNCHEON
The teachers will return from their summer break on Wednesday, July 26 to prepare for their students' return and we want to celebrate and appreciate them with a "back to school" luncheon on their first day. If you would like to contribute to decorations and/ or help with the luncheon, please contact Leslie Prince. If you'd like the privilege of shaping the life of a child as a tutor (a once/month commitment) Baron Mullis is your contact. For any other questions, speak to shepherd Leslie Prince.

GALA EQUIPMENT NEEDED
Please contact Shari Tant if you have 8 ice cream or wooden cabaret chairs that could be borrowed for the gala (light weight would be great).

RIDES TO CHURCH
Sign up to bring our sponsored refugee family, the Kinumbe-Bauma family, to or from church or arrange an Uber and meet them at coffee and conversation! Sign Up Genius is here.

PRESCHOOL OPENING
Morningside Presbyterian Preschool has an opening for one 3-year-old student and one PreK student. Tell your friends and neighbors to grab them up quickly! Contact Melinda Sandkam at 404.685.8758 or via email today. We also have a few openings for each week of summer camp still available.

MEET AND GREET CONTINUES
Please join us for time of fellowship with Mardee on Sunday mornings July 23 - July 30 from 9:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. on the  playground and picnic area so that Mardee can meet the families of the church and get to know the children better.

FAMILY MISSION PROJECT AT NICHOLAS HOUSE
Please join us on Saturday, July 29 at 10:45 a.m. as we will be planting flowers, painting brightly colored picnic tables, mulching and clearing the yard for residents to enjoy outdoor activities at Nicholas House (a transitional home for homeless families who are seeking long term housing). After work we will enjoy lunch and fellowship at Tin Lizzy's Cantina (Grant Park). Please rsvp to Katye Watts.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
We are in need of volunteers Saturday, August 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Intown Collaborative Ministries pantry to distribute food to homeless and in-need folks in our area.
