In addition to celebrating our confirmation class of 2017, to mark the occasion, we celebrate theological education by welcoming to our pulpit the Rev. Paul Roberts, president of Johnson C. Smith Theological Seminary.  (Baron Mullis is a trustee of the seminary, Kathy Bremer has served as a trustee as well).  Additionally, weather and progress permitting, we will dedicate the Morningside Memorial Garden.  This is a Sunday in the life of the church that you won't want to miss!
Shallowford Presbyterian Church is hosting a fashion show tomorrow, April 26. Dinner will be at 5:45 p.m. and the program will begin at 6:30 p.m. This fashion show is to raise money for refugee children's programs, after-school enrichment, shalom international ministries and Montreat Youth Conference scholarships. Click here for additional information. 
Yogasculpt is a unique blend of yoga poses, body sculpting using small weights, stretch, and dance set to upbeat music. It is designed to strengthen, lengthen, and tone the body... Inviting Heath and wellbeing. Contact Pam Sharpe for questions or concerns. 
Come to the Atlanta History Center (130 West Paces Ferry Road, Atlanta, 30305) to have a great time by enjoying auctions, games, live music, a buffet dinner and more at ICM's annual Arts and Eats Fundraiser on Sunday, April 30 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Our next Theology on Tap will be hosted by Bob Wells on
Tuesday, May 2 at 7 p.m. Bob and Rosemary can be found at 1466 Lanier Place, Atlanta 30306.This will be our final Theology on Tap before breaking for the summer. Theology on Tap will return on Tuesday, September 5.
We will have our first congregational lunch of the year on Sunday, May 7! This lunch benefits our Youth Mission. We will have a wonderful lunch supplied by Zoe" Kitchen - Chicken and Steak Kabobs, Chicken and Steak Rollups, Grilled Potato Salad, Marinated Slaw, Hummus and Pimento Cheese with Pita. You won't want to miss our next MPC Couples get together, Friday, May 12 at 7 p.m. at Susan and Tom Oders'. Their home is at 1334 Old Johnson Ferry Rd. NE, Atlanta 30319. Fried chicken is on the menu! Please bring a side, appetizer or dessert and beverage of choice. RSVP to Kathy Bremer
With spring activities almost behind us, we now turn our eyes to the summer and Vacation Bible School. We will be showing our children how to "discover their strength in God" June 12-15. Please sign your children up by Thursday, May 11in order to enjoy the "early bird" cost of $25. The cost rises to $40 beginning Friday, May 12. Registration ends on Friday, May 26. We also need your help to make VBS a success - we need volunteers to help create décor, set up, help during the week and break down. Last, but not least, we need items to be donated. Donations of items help us keep the cost of VBS low, so more children can participate. Questions? Please contact Amanda Lewis or Emily Hylton.
