Jesus Shows Love! Jesus ate with his disciples at the Last Supper. Communion is often referred to as the Lord's Supper and when we celebrate Communion we remember Jesus and his love for us. Matthew 26:17-30

Our prayers surround Barbara and Dale Ray on the passing from this life of their son Randolph Richard "Randy" Ray. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2017 here at Morningside Presbyterian Church.
The Georgia marathon and half marathon is this Sunday, March 19!  Both the marathon and half marathon start on Marietta Street and head east. It is a shared course until approximately mile 7, where the half turns toward Virginia-Highland and the marathon continues on toward Candler Park. We anticipate traffic so please plan your departure accordingly. For more details click here.
Help the teachers of Dobbs Elementary support their students' hard work by replenishing their prize closet. If you have any questions please contact Tamara Nix or Leslie Prince.
Habitat for Humanity asks you to extend a helping hand by volunteering from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to help build a house for the Valdez family. Mrs. Valdez works for an airline and has three children, ages 11, six and five.  Anyone 16 years or older can now sign up! If you or someone you know would be interested, please click here to sign up. A few hours of your time will place a loving family in a beautiful home.
From now until March 26, Morningsiders have a crucial opportunity to shape our future for the coming three years. Our Strategic Planning team is offering two tools to solicit opinions, wants and dreams from our congregation.  Your responses will help the team, Session and staff develop the plan we'll follow through 2020. One tool is the Congregational Assessment Tool (CAT), the same survey used to build our previous plan. The survey must be completed in one sitting and takes as little as 20 minutes. People who share an email address can each input an individual CATscan. Paper copies are also available in the church office. The more of us who complete the CAT, the more accurate our plan will be in reflecting the will of the congregation.
Please join us in a collection of non-perishable food to support ICM. Canned vegetables, soups, ready-to-eat meals, especially those with pop tops, ramen noodles, peanut butter, cereal and can openers will be collected up until Sunday, March 19 in the barrel inside the church stairwell. For more information, please contact Nancy Collins or Laura Ulep
