Beth Waltemath will lead us in a Lenten series focused on practiced-based Christianity by looking at key figures in contemplative Christianity from the Bible, Medieval saints, and contemporary theologians. We start this series with a look at Jesus's own practice of prayer.
Jesus Shows Love! Jesus heals 10 men, but only one of them shows gratitude. It is important to know God loves us and to be thankful for that love. Luke 17: 11-19

8:45 a.m. - 1:15 a.m. today though Thursday, March 2, the Preschool welcomes the Little Shop of Stories to host our Book Fair. If you need books for your children, grandchildren, as gifts, etc., please support this fundraiser by stopping by to purchase books. (30% of proceeds goes to MPP) The majority of books are for preschool age children, but there is a special section for older children too. You can also make a purchase for our Book Fair outreach partner GiGi's Playhouse which supports families with children who have Down Syndrome. Cash, check or credit cards are accepted. Come to the Youth Center this week and find a book!
Morningside's Strategic Planning Committee is seeking input from the congregation. Your insight will help us shape the next 3-year-plan. We are conducting five listening sessions which will be used to capture priorities, wishes, dreams and opportunities for our church. Additionally, an online survey will be launched on Sunday, March 5. Please contact Jeff Peters,  jeffcpeters@gmail.com, if you can participate in one of these important listening sessions. The dates and times are March 2 at 6:45 p.m., March 5 at 12:15 p.m., March 6 at 7 p.m., March 9 at 6:45 p.m., and 8:45 p.m.
The Hunger Walk is an annual 5K walk/run that raises money for ATL's community food bank. Join MPC members in this Youth Group Sponsored event on Sunday, March 5. The Youth Group has a goal of raising $500. We will enjoy lunch together at the church before heading to Turner Field. The Hunger Walk starts at 2 p.m. To register, you can join the "Morningside Presbyterian Youth!" team. Click here to make a contribution, and be sure to share our team with others so that they can donate in honor of our team. 
Our next Theology on Tap will be hosted by Baron Mullis on Tuesday, March 7 at 7 p.m. Baron and Lester can be found at 2140 Council Bluff Court, Atlanta, 30345. 
Friday evening, March 10 (7 to 9 p.m.) and Saturday, March 11 (10 to 2 p.m.)MPC will host a workshop on the arts in worship, co-sponsored by Central Presbyterian Church. There will be activities for all ages, it's free, and there will be snacks and lunch! Contact Jonathan Crutchfield, jcrutchfield@morningsidepc.orgby Friday, March 10 to register.
How awesome would it be to be able to help the students of UKIRK? Well now you can! MPC would like you to help provide meals for the Tuesday evening meetings of the students of UKIRK. These ten students have no food allergies. If you would like to sign up to bring a meal please click here
