SOUPER BOWL
No, that's not a typo! Immediately after worship this Sunday, February 5, on your way out of the Sanctuary, you're invited to help fill "soup pots" with cash for our annual Souper Bowl of Caring collection to address hunger in our community. Canned goods are also accepted for this event, which has become a nationwide movement. 
 
ICM FOOD PANTRY
Have you been interested in getting more involved in a local charity? Now Is the time to consider volunteering with InTown Collaborative MInistries Food Pantry. This is an important ministry that helps distribute food to low income and homeless people in our immediate area. Recently, there location has moved to McIver Hall behing Druid Hills Presbyterian Church - 1026 Ponce de Leon and needs your help on Saturday February 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please contact Laura Ulep, lauraulep@gmail.com, or 843.607.3980 if you want to be involved or have questions. 
 
CASTING CALL
MPC's first Arts Showcase weekend is coming up Saturday, February 18 through Sunday, February 19. If you have a musical, physical or spoken word talent and would like to perform in the coffeehouse-style Arts Cafe on the evening of Saturday, February 18, contact the producer, Julie Green, greenjulie72@gmail.com, no later than Sunday, February 5.
 
SHROVE TUESDAY AND PAJAMA PARTY
Volunteer now for set up, greet and serve, or clean up for our                                   pancake-and-pajama party coming up Tuesday, February 28, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Many Hands make light work in three short shifts. To sign up click here.

VBS HERO CENTRAL AT MORNINGSIDE
At VBS Hero Central, June 12-15, our Heroes will experience God's love, explore God's mission for their lives, and seek to learn ways to be God's Heroes. Our Heroes will go on adventures alongside some of the Bible's heroes and discover the qualities that make us truly heroic in God. God's Heroes have Heart, Courage, Wisdom and Hope! Contact VBS Coordinator Amanda Lewis, amandalewis4@gmail.com for more information. VBS is for children who will be 4 by Friday, September 1 through 5th grade. We will need all hands on deck to make this a success, so please mark your calendars to be a part of our Hero team.
