Children
Children will learn more about Moses, God's people and how God cares for all people.  Today, we hear how God provides for the people once they escape Egypt - all the food and water needed but no more.  God expects obedience while providing for our needs.  Exodus 15:22-17:7.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THE CHRISTMAS PAGEANT
We need help setting up the day of the pageant, helping with costumes and "shepherding" our littlest actors during the pageant.  If you are able to volunteer, please contact Sarah Tomaka sarah.tomaka@gmail.comThe pageant is on Sunday, December 18 at 6 p.m. and dress rehearsal will be SaturdayDecember 17 at 4 p.m.
 
ONE GRAY HAIR
We are excited about our One Gray Hair lunch and program for Friday, November 9. Julie Schoen will share with us about what it takes to make delicious cheese. She and her husband, Mark, have a farm near Elberton where they operate a business called Southern Aged (formerly Nature's Harmony). Most of us love cheese, so it will be fun to hear about how it is made and marketed today. You can find their cheese locally at the Ansley Kroger. MPC & DOBBS ELEMENTARY - ALL AGES "SATURDAY SCHOOL" EVENT
Please join fellow church members of all ages as we continue to grow our partnership with Dobbs Elementary.  "Saturday School" offers Dobbs' school students a place to learn and grow outside of the regular school week.  MPC will support this program on Saturday, November 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  All are welcome to join us! ICM PANTRY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Volunteers are needed on Saturday, November 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the InTown Collaborative Ministry pantry to distribute food to the homeless and          in-need folks in our area.  The pantry is located at Druid Hills Methodist Church on the corner of Ponce and Briarcliff.  Please contact Laura Ulep lauraulep@gmail.comor Nancy Collins ncollins0209@gmail.com if you are interested in helping.
 
FAITH DEVELOPMENT CURRICULUM PLANNING
The Faith Development Class welcomes all who want to explore ways to become better disciples to join us on Sunday, November 13 in Room 201 after the church service (around 12:40 p.m.) for a meeting to brainstorm ideas for the Winter/Spring Faith Development curriculum.  The planning session will last no longer than 1 hour. You can bring your children with their coloring books.
 
LGBT & FRIENDS INVITES YOU
The November meeting of LGBT & Friends, LGBT Estate and Financial Planning, will be on Tuesday, November 15 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.mat the home of Christian Bromley and Christopher Crowder. We will welcome guest speaker Meredith Moore, of Moore Wealth Management.  RSVP to b.walkuski@gmail.com by Friday, November 11, and they ask for a goodwill contribution of $10 per person to cover the cost of food and drinks. YOU'RE INVITED TO READ WITH A CHILD!
Morningside will be heading over to Dobbs Elementary school at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 16 to read to a child.  Following our reading time, we will be joining together for lunch, so if you're able to, please stay.  Be sure to rsvp to the office office@morningsidepc.org so that we may notify the principal of everyone's attendance. We will carpool from the church at 10:30 a.m.
