Children will learn about Moses and explore powerful acts of God this month.  After the Israelites were freed and they crossed the Red Sea, Moses and the Israelites celebrated with songs of praise, victory and joy. How can we praise God today?

COMMITMENT SUNDAY
All are invited to come to the front of Church this Sunday, October 30 to pledge support for Morningside in 2017.  Our pledges allow for the church to plan its budget for the year ahead, as 96% of our funding comes from offerings. MPC CHILDREN HELPING CHILDREN
Join us this Thursday, October 27 at the fall fun night where we will assemble bags to be given to families in need.  Please also help us stock up on these items: small solid white or craft bags, toothbrushes, toothpastes, shampoos, conditioners, deodorants, soaps, gallon ziplock bags, individual microwaveable soups or mac-n-cheese, granola bars, snack size bags of chips or pretzels, fruit cups or applesauce and bottled water. Drop off donations in the blue bin in the welcome center. Contact Liz Sommerfeld

THEOLOGY ON TAP
Are you interested in joining us for Theology on Tap?  We will be meeting at the home of John Watson on Tuesday, November 1 at 7 p.m. John can be found at 1397 Harvard Road, Atlanta, 30306.
 
MPC & DOBBS ELEMENTARY - ALL AGES "SATURDAY SCHOOL" EVENT
Please join fellow church members of all ages as we continue to grow our partnership with Dobbs Elementary.  "Saturday School" offers Dobbs' school students a place to learn and grow outside of the regular school week.  MPC will support this program on Saturday, November 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  All are welcome to join us! FAITH DEVELOPMENT CURRICULUM PLANNING
The Faith Development Class welcomes all who want to explore ways to become better disciples to join us on Sunday, November 13 in Room 201 after the church service (around 12:15 p.m.) for a meeting to brainstorm ideas for the Winter/Spring Faith Development curriculum.  The planning session will last no longer than 1 hour. You can bring your children with their coloring books.
 
LGBT & FRIENDS INVITES YOU
The November meeting of LGBT & Friends, LGBT Estate and Financial Planning, will be on Tuesday, November 15 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.mat the home of Christian Bromley and Christopher Crowder. We will welcome guest speaker Meredith Moore, of Moore Wealth Management.  RSVP to b.walkuski@gmail.com by Friday, November 11, and they ask for a goodwill contribution of $10 per person to cover the cost of food and drinks.
