Children
Children will learn about Joseph this month.  This Sunday they'll hear about his brothers from Genesis 37. They will learn about how God is present through the difficult and good times of life.  Just as God was with Joseph throughout his entire life, God is with each of us as well.

BIBLE STUDY CONCLUDES TOMORROW
Jenny Guy has done a fabulous job leading the study of how baptism of the Holy Spirit empowers us to be Jesus' disciples. Her final class of the month will be tomorrow, August 31 at 11 a.m. Please plan to attend! CHILDREN'S CHOIR
It's not too late to bring your young singers to children's choir.  There is room for more singers each Wednesday evening beginning at 5:45 p.m. and ending at 6:30 p.m.  For more information, contact Jonathan Crutchfield jcrutchfield@morningsidepc.org.
 
ICM VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED
We are seeking 12 volunteers for a Saturday Intown Collaborative Ministry (ICM) Pantry workday on September 10, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  ICM's food pantry provides food to homeless and food-insecure families in our 30306 and 30307 neighborhoods.  Please consider sharing your time and talent with this local ministry.  You can sign-up to volunteer by placing your name on the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board or email Nancy Collins ncollins0209@gmail.com or 678.634.4572 or Laura Ulep lauraulep@gmail.com.  ICM is located at Druid Hills Methodist church (corner of Ponce and Briarcliff). MPC'S MOUNTAIN CHURCH RETREAT
Our getaway to the mountains is fast approaching and we won't want you to miss it. The weekend will be filled with plenty of activities for children, social time, and fellowship. Come and enjoy the weekend Friday, October 14 - Sunday, October 16 with us in North Carolina! Mary Louise Bringle will be our  guest speaker.
