THOUGHT OF THE WEEK
"If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have an apple
. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas."
 - George Bernard Shaw

BIBLE STUDY TOMORROW

GALA CONCERT IS COMING
It is time to get ready to attend this year's production which will be the largest we've had so far! Saturday, August 20 at 7 p.m.  is a day you won't want to miss. Although there is no ticket price for "The Sound of Music: Morningside Sings Rodgers and Hammerstein," we will be accepting donations that will benefit MPC's music programs and the organizations we partner with in our Mission Ministries. Be sure to tell all your friends and family about it.  All are welcome to come!

FAITH DEVELOPMENT CLASS
Starting on Sunday, August 21 and continuing for six weeks, the Faith Development class will be taking up the issue of income inequality in the context of the faith imperative to work for social justice. We have assembled a remarkable group of presenters to help us explore the issue including a seminary ethicist and a visiting senior advisor to the Federal Reserve.

VOLUNTEERS FOR MPC
