We will continue a six-week exploration of "Seeing Jesus in John's Gospel." This class meets in Room 201 and is led by Mathew Frease.

Children
Preschool and elementary children will continue to learn about the fruit of the Spirit. Sunday they will hear Luke 18:1-8 and learn about patience and how hard it can be, but that showing patience to others is a way people know we are followers of Jesus.

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING-AUGUST 7
The congregation will meet following worship on Sunday, August 7 for purpose of formally concurring with Rev. Drew. Stockstill's request to the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta that his call as associate pastor to Morningside Presbyterian Church be concluded and the pastoral relationship dissolved.  
 
BIBLE STUDY 
Every Wednesday at 11 a.m. and Monday at 7 p.m. for the next four weeks, Jennye Guy will teach Bible Study.  Come and learn about the Holy Spirit's work with the people of Acts.  If you plan to attend, please let Jennye jennyeguy@earthlink.net know which day you'll attend. 

GALA CONCERT AUGUST 20
This year's production will be our largest production so far!  It is set to be held on Saturday, August 20 at 7 p.m.  Although there is no ticket price for "The Sound of Music: Morningside Sings Rodgers and Hammerstein," we will be accepting donations that will benefit MPC's music programs and the organizations we partner with in our Mission Ministries.  Be sure to tell all your friends and family about it.  All are welcome to come!
 
CALLING ALL MUSICIANS
As Morningside continues to grow, opportunities continue to arrive!  During the 2016-2017 season, Morningside's Handbell Choir wants those who are interested in playing to join them.  If you are interested in seeking an available position in Morningside's Handbell Choir, please contact Jeff Peters jeffcpeters@gmail.com or 404.731.9291. Rehearsals commence September 1st and are Thursday evenings from 7:30-8:30 p.m
 
PRESCHOOL OPENING
