Ellen and Drew Stockstill continue leading a six week study on Frances Taylor Gench's Book, Encountering God in Tyrannical Texts:  Reflections on Paul, Women, and the Authority of Scripture.  

Preschool children will hear the story of Noah building the ark and learn about how Noah lived the way God wanted him to. Noah listened and obeyed God.

Making sure the children who attend VBS have all they need is a major priority for us, and we welcome you to donate to the VBS Wish List by taking an item from the Wish List Board in the welcome center or signing up or an item online.  Donations can be dropped off to the basket in the welcome center by Wednesday, June 1. Perishable food donations can be dropped off in the kitchen labeled "for VBS" by Friday, June 10.
Come and experience a music concert presented by The Chancel Choir and soloist Sunday, June 5 at 4 p.m. Morningside will feature the choir singing Mozarts "Missa Brevis" with Kirby Burgess, soprano soloist; Nan Nowell, alto; John Young, tenor; Brandon Odom, baritone; Mason Copeland organist; and the Atlanta Strings.  The concert will also feature our four soloists (Megan Mashburn, Nan Nowell, John Young, Brandon Odom) singing the Brahms "Liebeslieder Waltzes," op.52 with Jonathan Crutchfield and Ben Leaptrott providing 4-hand piano accompaniment.  Friends and family are all welcome!

Morningside Presbyterian Church welcomes all who are interested in becoming a member.  On Sunday, June 5 at 9:45 a.m. you are welcome to attend the New Members Class.  Friends and family are also welcome to attend the class.
The sun has arrived which means it's time to come and enjoy a relaxed fitness regimen. Gentle Yoga will begin at Morningside on Tuesday, June 7, in room 201 at 11 a.m. Body Sculpting will be held on Wednesdays at 10 a.m.  Instructor Pam Sharpe, a fitness professional for over 35 years, welcomes students and questions about the classes.  For more information, please email Pam at yogapam@bellsouth.net.
