THOUGHT OF THE WEEK
There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle. - Albert Einstein
THEOLOGY ON TAP
Our popular men's group will meet tonight, January 5, at 7 p.m. at the home of Alan Bremer (785 Cumberland Rd., 30306). The topic, led by Baron Mullis, will be "Really? You're going to put murder and adultery in the same category?" The group will look at the 6th and 7th commandments and how they guide us to form community. RSVP to the church office office@morningsidepc.org.

COUPLES GROUP
The Couples Group will gather together this Friday, January 8, at 7 p.m. for dinner and conversation about their new year's resolutions. For more information and to RSVP, contact Alan and Kathy Bremer kdbremer@bellsouth.net.

MPC SMALL GROUP SIGNUP
Morningside is facilitating the formation of small groups to promote the discipleship of the congregation through study of God's word and how it relates to our lives. The groups will be composed of up to 12 people, will begin meeting in January, and will generally meet every other week in the home of one of the group members. The topical content the group will encounter is largely determined by the group members with available support from the MPC discipleship committee. If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, contact Peter Tuuk petertuuk@gmail.com or Drew Stockstill dstockstill@morningsidepc.org.

DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. SERVICE PROJECT
What better way to celebrate the life and work of Dr. King than to give back to our community in service? Please sign up and join in with our Decatur neighbors Saturday, January 16. We'll work on seniors' homes, making needed repairs and doing yard work that these seniors have been unable to afford. There are jobs for the skilled, the unskilled, and everyone in between (volunteers must be 12 yrs. old). We will meet at the Solarium Community Center (321 W. Hill St., Decatur 30030) at 8:30 a.m. for breakfast and registration. Please bring your own water bottle and if possible, bring tools and work gloves. This will be our 5th year of participation! Sign up on the Mission bulletin board or contact Jack Klotz at 678.428.6255 or jacksklotz@gmail.com.
