This Sunday, we continue a six-week series called "Illuminating Advent: Bringing Christ's Hope, Peace, Joy and Love Into Our Lives." For the classes' Advent service project, they will lead the congregation in a clothing drive. The donations of men's and women's clothing will be given to the ICM clothes closet and Rebecca's Tent. This class meets in Room 201 at 9:45 a.m.

During the weeks leading to Christmas the preschool class will hear a part of the nativity story. Today's story is Jesus is Born.

This Sunday, November 29 preschool and elementary children and their parents are invited to attend an Advent Family Workshop. Families will prepare for the Advent season and make calendars together. We will meet in Room 107 at 10:15 a.m. There will be no elementary Sunday School during worship this day.
The church office will be closed Thursday, November 26, and Friday, November 27, in observance of the Thanksgiving season.

Cindy Humphries will lead a discussion on ways we can all enrich our celebration of Christmas, both spiritually and practically. MPC women as well as friends are invited for dinner and social conversation next Monday, November 30 at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Lynn Young (277 The Prado, 30309). Our Women's Roundtable invites you to share holiday memories and traditions, and prepare for the Advent season. RSVP to Sarah Brownlee rsbrownlee1046@att.net.

The next meeting of Morningside's men's group will be hosted by Richard Brownlee at the home of Pam and Ken Sharpe (1700 Timberland Road, 30345) next Tuesday, December 1, at 7 p.m. The topic will be "Shady Pines, Ma!" What exactly does the 5th commandment demand from us? Do we really have to listen to our parents our whole lives? The night includes dinner.  RSVP to office @morningsidepc.org.

In anticipation of new programming in Children's Ministry, Sarah Kate and the Transition Committee would like to hear from the congregation. Please join us for a Listening Session on December 7, 7-8 p.m. in the Session Room. Refreshments and childcare will be provided. RSVP to sarahkate@morningsidepc.org.
Our growing infant and toddler nursery at MPC is in need of additional volunteers during the worship hour on Sunday mornings. If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact Claire Burke at claireneal@hotmail.com for details. Volunteers are asked to give of their time on a quarterly basis. Adult and youth volunteers are welcome.

Through the month of December, Morningside will collect food for the ICM food pantry. We have been asked to put together "food packs." to give to families for their Christmas dinner side dishes. Each pack should include stuffing mix, green beans, fried onions, mushroom soup, cranberry sauce, yams, and corn. Our goal is to provide them with at least 10 packs. As the feasting season approaches, we will continue collecting a variety of non-perishable edibles for ICM with the goal that no one in our community is hungry for the holidays. Please bring all donations to the Welcome Center.
