CELEBRATING 90 YEARS...Morningside may be 90 years old, but she's still going strong! We will celebrate this Sunday, November 15 with a commemorative worship service and lunch afterwards. Remember to bring a salad/vegetable (A-M last name) or dessert (N-Z last name). Honey Baked ham, fried chicken, rolls and beverages will be provided.
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 12 GEORGIA GIVES!...This Thursday is GA Gives Day, a special, 24-hour online giving event to raise funds for Georgia charities, like Intown Collaborative Ministries. "In honor of our 5th anniversary, all donations up to $5000 will be matched by a generous donor. Whether it's $5 or $500, we'd love your support of our work...Plus your impact will be doubled!" says Executive Director Brad Schweers. ICM works to prevent and reverse homelessness and hunger, serving over 600 individuals annually by way of a Food Pantry, Food Co-op, Clothing Closet, Street Outreach, and Heading Home programs. Click here to give now and through Nov. 12. ...Remember Morningside Mingle this Saturday, November 14, 6-8 p.m. Hosted by the Deacons at the home of Tony and Kent at 1368 Northview Avenue, 30306, this is a time, for adults only, to get to know our newer members a little better. LISTENING SESSIONS...In anticipation of new programming in Children's Ministry, Sarah Kate and the Transition Committee would like to hear from the congregation. Please join us for a Listening Session on one of three dates: November 11, 5:30-6:30 p.m. in Room 201; November 17, 9:15-10:15 a.m. in the Session Room; or December 7, 7-8 p.m. in the Session Room. CHRISTMAS PAGEANT...On Sunday, December 13 at 5 p.m. in the Sanctuary, the children will perform the story of the very first Christmas. We need lots of help from volunteers for the set, costumes, and more! Please contact sarahkate@morningsidepc.org to help out.
