November 15 is an important date in the history of Morningside Presbyterian Church. This year, on that date, MPC will celebrate its 90th anniversary! We will commemorate the special day with a Worship Service and Celebration Luncheon highlighting our congregation's past, present and future. Please mark your calendars for November 15 - we hope you'll join us!

Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, November 1. We "fall back" and gain an extra hour of sleep. Be sure to set your clocks back one hour before going to bed Saturday, October 31.

A god who let us prove his existence would be an idol. - Dietrich Bonhoeffer
Our annual collection of new mittens, gloves, hats and scarves for the children at Our House is in full swing! Gently used coats and sweaters may be donated. Hang your gifts on the Mitten Tree in the preschool alcove throughout the month  or place them in the welcome center baskets. Our House is a Decatur child care and support center that serves children/families facing homelessness.

INQUIRERS' AND NEW MEMBERS' CLASS...If you have been considering joining Morningside Presbyterian, there will be an opportunity to learn more about MPC this Sunday, November 1 at 9:45 a.m. in the Session Room.  Next Sunday, November 8, those who choose to do so may join the New Members Class (also in the Session Room) where at the conclusion of the class you will meet with the Session of the church and be received into membership.  For more information and to RSVP for the classes, contact Baron Mullis baron.mullis@morningsidepc.org.

Join us in the Fellowship Hall next Monday, November 3, 5:30-6:45 p.m., for dinner and fun activities for the children.
