"The chief thing that has struck me today is that I still have my fingers too much in the running of my own life...If You send me work I shall embrace it with joy and it will be rest to me, because it is Your will. And if You send me rest, I will rest in You. Only save me from myself. Save me from my own, private, poisonous urge to change everything, to act without reason, to move for movement's sake, to unsettle everything You have ordained. Amen, amen."- Thomas Merton

We will gather at the home of Emilie Paille and Jeanne McCarthy this Friday, July 10 at 7 p.m. (1413 Northview Ave. 30306.) RSVP to Kathy and Alan Bremer 404.403.3266, kdbremer@bellsouth.net. We will hiatus in August and get back together September 11. Hosts are still needed for Friday, December 11.

By this Sunday, July 12, please bring your donated household items for Welcome Home Baskets for the men of Clifton Sanctuary Ministries. The baskets will be assembled by this year's Mission Camp attendees. There is a bulletin board at the entry of the Welcome Center with slips of paper listing the items needed. You still have time to contribute! If you have any questions, feel free to contact David Johnston at 617.233.2004 or dmjohnst@gmail.com.

In the spirit of Mission camp, please join the Smith-Nix family in serving a meal to the men of Journey Shelter this Sunday, July 12 at 6:45 p.m. We will first share the joy of serving a meal to the 30 men of Journey, and afterwards parents and kids are welcome to share a meal and fellowship together at Fellini's Pizza on Ponce. There are still opportunities for your participation. Please contact Tamara Nix tamaranix@alumni.duke.edu or at 404.805.8955.

We expect 21 youth to attend this year's Mission Camp, July 20-24. We will need 5 drivers per day to make it to our outreach locations. Please contact Melinda to let her know which day(s) - full day or morning or afternoon you would be able to help us out. The first morning, Monday, July 20, we will be at MPC, but need two more chaperones (no driving required). These roles are all lead volunteers, which require background and driving checks, so please sign up ASAP.  See our Mission Camp bulletin board across from the Session Room 103 for more detailed needs.
