To celebrate Melinda Sandkam's 10th year with MPC as our Program Director, we're throwing  a "covered dish" picnic lunch. We'll supply the entrée, drinks and rolls, and we're suggesting that folks bring a salad/vegetable (if your last name begins with A-L) or a dessert (if your last name begins with M-Z).

Live music and other surprises are in store and everyone is invited to join Melinda and our church family on this special day. RSVP to the church office.

Theology is not only about understanding the world; it is about mending the world. - Miroslav Volf

We continue to receive pledges for our Standing and Serving for GenerationsCapital Campaign and are so grateful for the response from so many of you to this integral part of our church's future.  We are on the cusp (so close!) of achieving our goal of $1.5 million dollars so it is really important that if you have not yet pledged you consider what you might be able to do to help us reach this goal, keeping in mind that you have the next three tax years to pay out your pledge.  We have had several original pledges bumped up which has been a wonderful blessing, and welcome more for those who feel they can.  Remember that no gift is too small and the sum of our overall participation is what will lead us to be able to very soon report to you that the goal has been achieved so we can start outlining to you the plans for how the money will be spent.

For those who have already pledged, we ask that if you didn't give us an indication of your timeline for paying out your pledge on your pledge card that you email Tom Daniel (tomdaniel404@gmail.com)to let him know.  This just helps us as we start to work on the cash flow in order to initiate the work outlined in the campaign.  Obviously, we realize that this may not be firm but it does give us some framework from which to work. For any of you who are still considering a gift or need any clarification about what the campaign is for, do not hesitate to contact any of the co-chairs, Hillery McNeill, Tara Parrish, or Doug Self.
