IT'S A PARTY!
To celebrate Melinda Sandkam's 10th year with MPC as our Program Director, we're throwing  a "covered dish" picnic lunch. We'll supply the entrée, drinks and rolls, and we're suggesting that folks bring a salad/vegetable (if your last name begins with A-L) or a dessert (if your last name begins with M-Z) and a picnic blanket.

Live music and other surprises are in store and everyone is invited to join Melinda and our church family on this special day. RSVP to the church office.

THOUGHT OF THE WEEK
Jesus' mission was not to make a big deal of himself or to elevate his followers to positions of power, authority, and prestige through identification with him. It was rather to point through and beyond himself to God and to God's coming reign on earth, and to invite his followers to find their voice in bearing witness to this transforming, redemptive God.  - David L. Bartlett
