A profound word of thanks to all who give...

There is nothing Morningside does that isn't funded by the generosity of our members and friends. Thank you!!!  For any who wish to gift stock to the church, please let Randy Parrish know (randyparish@bellsouth.net; 404.872.7924). If you are looking for a worthwhile place to make end of year gifts, think of all of the ministries of Morningside Presbyterian Church. There is no better way for us to start our exciting plans for 2015 than with a strong close to 2014 (https://secure.accessacs.com/access/onlinegiving/givenow.aspx). As always, our profound thanks to each and every person who gives to Morningside. Your gifts make a difference!

Through the month of January, our adult Faith Development class will explore the dynamics of God's mission throughout the world and in our community. Each topic in Room 201 Sundays at 9:45 a.m. stands-alone and everyone is invited to attend all four or any of particular interest.

Are you interested in learning more about how to put an end to back-talk, nagging, and power struggles? MPC will offer a six week course called Parenting the Love and Logic Way, Thursdays 7-9 p.m., January 22- February 26 taught by Ellen Carrington. Cost is $100 for an individual and $150 for couples. For more information or to register, contact Children's Education Chair Liz Sommerfeld elizabethsommerfeld@gmail.com(registration deadline is January 7).

Yoga will begin on Tuesday, January 6, at 11 a.m. in Room 201. The class will run six weeks, and will focus on flexibility, strengthening, balance, breathing, relaxation and fun. Fun and fitness is also the focus of Thursday's class...Weights to the Oldies. Thursday's students work with hand-held weights on body sculpting and resistance training. Plus, we workout to great music! For questions email instructor, Pam Sharpe, at yogapam@bellsouth.net.

The Men of Morningside will gather for friendship and study on Tuesday, January 6, at 7 p.m. Following dinner they will explore the phrase from the Apostles' Creed "The third day, he arose again from the dead, ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the father almighty..." Baron leads the ongoing discussion of the creed we say most Sundays. He'll cover what it means to affirm that Jesus rose from the dead. What does it mean for our lives that we worship a risen Lord? What do all those other phrases mean? Richard Brownlee will host at the home of Ken and Pam Sharpe (1700 Timberland Road, 30345). RSVP to the church  office@morningsidepc.org.
