ONE GRAY HAIR
Our next lunch and program will be Wednesday, November 12 in Fellowship Hall at noon. Our guest speaker is Lewis Cobb, who played baseball for the South Cobb Bears in '57 and '58. The South Cobb Bears was one of the teams in the Josh Gipson League of the Atlanta area Negro Leagues that later became the Hank Aaron League. Lewis met many of the stars of the day and will talk about such players as Mike Jones, who was drafted by the Milwaukee Braves. Come and bring your friends and RSVP to rsbrownlee1046@att.net.

THOUGHT OF THE WEEK
Character in a saint means the disposition of Jesus Christ persistently manifested.
- Oswald Chambers

COMMITMENT SUNDAY IS THIS SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 9
This Sunday, members are invited to pledge their financial support to Morningside for 2015. Your pledge allows the church to plan its budget for the coming year. To learn more about pledging, click here www.dropbox.com/s/td4kwfcstqf7zgj/brochure%2010-5-14.pdf?dl=0 to view the Commitment brochure. NEW MEMBERS' CLASS IS ON
If you know of someone who might like that personal invitation to join Morningside this Sunday, how about asking them?  Sometimes we just need to know that our presence matters.  Alternatively, let Baron know, and he'll call them.

POSTLUDE LISTENERS ARE INVITED TO COME TO THE CHANCEL
With Mason's incredible repertoire of sacred organ music, many in our congregation are choosing to be seated to listen to the music, which is the last act of our worship service.  If you are still having trouble hearing the music and would like to get a little better seat, you are invited to take the seats in the choir loft and sit "among the pipes."

LAST SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 2
We had such a great Children's Minute Message last Sunday we wanted to share it with you again. Check out the video on YouTube: http://youtu.be/13is1FzcTNo.

THEOLOGY ON TAP

Theology on Tap meets tonight, November 4, at 7 p.m. Our dinner and discussion men's group continues their exploration of the Apostles Creed with words "Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate..." Wasn't Jesus born like any other human? What's the deal with the virgin birth? What does it mean that he lived a human life? What does it mean that Jesus "suffered?" RSVP to office@morningsidepc.org for the meeting co-hosted by John Hawkins and John Watson at 1397 Harvard Road, 30306.

PRESBYTERIANS FOR A BETTER GEORGIA

MPP ANNUAL FUN-RAISER

On Friday, November 14, mingle with MPP parents, teachers and supporters while enjoying elegant hors d'ouevres and a delicious buffet, including vegetarian options. It is certain to be a fun night out at Le Maison Rouge at Paris on Ponce. Our signature cocktail will be back along with a variety of other beverages. The live and silent auction will feature donations from area merchants, families, teachers and fabulous art work from our kids. Most importantly, this is a great chance to support a good cause - our kids and MPP!
