THOUGHT OF THE WEEK

I have held many things in my hands, and I have lost them all; but whatever I have placed in God's hands, that I still possess. - Martin Luther

EXERCISE AT MPC
Yoga and Weights to the Oldies new sessions will begin this morning, October 28 and this Thursday, October 30. Veteran yoga teacher and personal trainer Pam Sharpe is looking forward to new and returning fitness enthusiasts to join her in these fun and focused classes. Put on your comfy clothes and get on up to Room 201 at 11 a.m. on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays.  Sessions run for 6 weeks, and cost $69 per session. For more information, contact Pam at yogapam@bellsouth.net.

USING OUR GIFTS
Why do we? Every fall and winter, our pledges allow the church to forecast how much it will receive in offerings and to plan an annual budget. Pledging is a deeply personal matter, and there is no uniform guidance. But we can reflecton our connection to the church, our faith in God, and prayerfully consider our giving.

OUR HOUSE
The Our House mission is to break the chain of homelessness by providing early childhood education and comprehensive support services for families experiencing homelessness. Through October 31 we will collect gently used or new items for the Mitten Tree to benefit the children of Our House (mittens, gloves, hats, etc.). Place your donations on the tree outside of Room 107. Contact Becky Schreiber becky.schreiber@gmail.com with questions. Thank you for your support.

THIS SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 9:45 A.M.

  • Everyone is invited to an opportunity to hear about the exciting future for MPC families and children. Please come to the Youth Room (Room 107) to hear the presentation. Coffee and refreshments will be served. Child care is provided.
  • If you have been thinking of joining Morningside, there will be an opportunity to learn more about our church at the Inquirers Class in the Session Room. To register, please contact Baron Mullis baron.mullis@morningsidepc.org.

GIVING THANKS
