ADULT
Next Sunday, May 25 there will be a joint Adult Education class which will continue throughout the summer. The class will explore Old Testament texts you might not have heard in church and will take a closer look at some stories you thought you knew. Join us Sunday mornings in Room 201 at 9:45 a.m. 

CHILDREN 
The Pre-K class will hear the story A Ride in the Night and learn how Paul once again escaped from his enemies. All elementary classes will hear Good News from Esther 4 and learn that God called Esther through the voice of Mordecai to help save the Jews.

WELCOME MASON COPELAND
Morningside's new organist/choirmaster, Mason Copeland, has begun his residence in Atlanta, in his church office, and with our Chancel Choir.  If you see him around our campus, be sure to extend our traditionally warm MPC welcome.  Mason's first Sunday behind the organ will be June 1.  Come and join us as we welcome Mason during worship and with a special reception in Fellowship Hall.

WELCOME SUMMER INTERN
This summer Assistant Youth Director Landon Dillard will take on additional roles as our pastoral intern. She will preach her first sermon in our pulpit thisSunday, May 25. Members and friends are encouraged to be with us on the 25th and welcome Landon in her new assignment. She will continue to work with our kids during her internship, providing transition for the time when Youth Director Chris Peters receives his first pastoral call after completing his seminary studies.

LGBT
LGBT & Friends upcoming program "Gay Contemporary Literary Discussion" will include readings and discussions from several plays and books includingNext Fall and Angels in America. The discussion, including dinner, will betonight, May 20 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the home of Curt Barrett (1365 N. Morningside Dr., 30306). RSVP to lgbtandfriends@morningsidepc.org. All are welcome.

FOOD TRUCKS
On Thursday, May 22 we once again welcome neighborhood food trucks in MPC's parking lot from 5 to 8 p.m. Be sure to join us for an easy and tasty supper along with great fellowship.

SUPPORTING SENIORS
Our annual collection for the Emergency Food Pantry at Calvin Court Presbyterian Home for Seniors continues through this Sunday, May 25. Items requested include: canned meats (especially chicken), soup (low sodium), hot cereal packets (Grits, Oatmeal), evaporated or powdered milk, peanut butter, crackers, canned fruits or vegetables.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL, JUNE 16-20
All Aboard the Ark Vacation Bible School is for those who will be four years old by September 1 through 5th grade (with youth leadership opportunities). It is truly a lot of fun, and we need YOU to volunteer to be able to offer this program to the children of our community. Contact Melinda Sandkam to volunteer. Registration forms are available online and at the church. Deadline is this Sunday, May 25.

IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT ME - MISSION CAMP, JULY 21-25
This camp is for rising 3rd-5th graders and will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. all week with an overnight trip on Thursday.  Register by the June 1 deadlinewith forms found on the bulletin board across from the Nursery Room 105 or online.  We also offer a Youth Track Mission Camp the same week. Contact Melinda Sandkam msandkam@morningsidepc.org with questions.

ITEMS NEEDED THIS SUMMER
If you have realistic looking stuffed animals to loan or donate to the church for our Noah's Ark themed VBS, we welcome them (loaners will be returned afterJune 20). During Mission Camp, we can use newspaper to shred for puppies and the ICM food pantry needs plastic grocery bags. Please bring donations to Room 001. 

CHURCH OFFICE
The Church Office will be closed Monday, May 26 in observance of Memorial Day.
