As we welcome the newest member of our congregation, Virginia Claire Strong, we surround her family with love by providing some meals. If you are interested in providing one, please go to takethemameal.com, and search by last name (Strong) and password (MPC) or contact MPC Meal Coordinator Carrie Branon carriebranon@yahoo.com with any questions.

THOUGHT OF THE WEEK
All the blessings we enjoy are Divine deposits, committed to our trust on this condition, that they should be dispensed for the benefit of our neighbors.
- John Calvin

FINAL STRETCH FOR HABITAT BUILD
We've had some great volunteers help with our Lenten Habitat build including the Young Adults this past Saturday.  And, we have a great crew lined up to provide lunch this coming Saturday.  We DO need some more volunteers though for our last two build Saturdays, March 29 and April 5.  Contact MPC Shepherd Lynsley Tylerlynsley@bellsouth.net TODAY to volunteer one of these days.

FOOD TRUCKS ARE COMING!
Spend an evening On Tapa The World while feasting with The Burger Truck, just to name two.  Bring your appetite to the MPC parking lot thisThursday, March 27 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and enjoy a tasty supper (that YOU don't have to cook!), and hang out with your friends and neighbors.  This has become a great event, and we welcomed approximately 1000 people during the three evenings that we hosted the food trucks last fall.  We'll see you there!

NEW MEMBER OPPORTUNITIES
If you have thought about joining Morningside church, we have two opportunities for you: an Inquirers' Class this Sunday, March 30, at 9:45 a.m. in the Session Room followed by a New Members' Class onSunday, April 6 at 9:45 a.m. If you would like to attend either, please get in touch with Baron Mullis baron.mullis@morningsidepc.org.

YOUTH GROUP
Look for MPC Youth in the Narthex and Fellowship Hall this Sunday, where they'll be collecting donations to help support the 2014 Summer Youth Trips - Montreat High School Retreat and the Summer Mission Trip to Mobile, AL. With a youth stock purchase, you're guaranteed a great return on your investment by supporting Morningside Youth! Join the youth families April 27 from 3-4:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall as we shower Chris Peters and Lauren Van Wicklen with good wishes for a happy life together and gifts to help them get settled in a home of their own. Chris and Lauren will graduate from Columbia Seminary this May and are seeking their first calls. During Chris' tenure as Youth Director we have grown from a group of 4 to almost 25, begun a tradition of summer mission trips and trips to Montreat, had confirmation class and our first Youth Sunday in 10 years.

DIAPER AND CLOTHING DRIVE
MPC and MPP are partnering to collect diapers (all sizes), baby wipes and gently used spring and summer clothing for children, infant through 5 years old, for Our House, the preschool in Decatur which serves families facing homelessness. Place your items in baskets in the Welcome Center and the Preschool entrance
through March 28.
 BRAVES ARE BACK!
Spring is around the corner and so are the Braves! We've got 20 tickets for the opening home stand on Sunday, April 13 at 1:30 p.m. Tickets cost $14 and are in section 413, rows two and three. Parking lot passes available for $10. Find Jack Klotz or Katherine Johnstonkecjohnston@gmail.com for your tickets!

EASTER EGG HUNT
Mark your calendars for MPC's annual Easter Egg Hunt onSaturday, April 19 at 11 a.m. Donations of candy-filled eggs are needed by April 13 (no peanuts please). Volunteers are needed in 2 shifts: Setup/Egg hiding 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. and Event/Clean-up 10:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.  Please sign up on the posters at church or contact Mary Hardy Holaway  at maryhardyh@gmail.com to volunteer.
