Adults: The class meeting in Room 107 at 9:15 a.m. has been working their way through the Bible using the History Channel's series "The Bible" as a guide, while enjoying breakfast and coffee. The class in Room 201 meets at 9:45 a.m. Child care and children's programming are available during both these sessions.

Children: Preschool children will hear how Jesus called his twelve helpers in the story Follow Me! Elementary classes will begin a series of lessons on the Beatitudes. Today they will hear how Jesus overturns expected values by blessing the poor, the meek, the merciful, and the peacemaker.

LENTEN MISSION TRIP TO NEW ORLEANS
If you have an interest in being part of the hands-on recovery work in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina, you will want to attend an interest meeting this Sunday, January 19 at 12:15 p.m. in Room 201. The trip cost is $225 and is due by February 2. For more information, contact trip leader Roland Behm roland.behm@gmail.com.

VOLUNTEER ON MLK JR. WEEKEND
Join us for the annual MLK Work Day this Saturday, January 18 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. doing light repair and yard work to help seniors stay in their homes in the city of Decatur. 2014-2015 SCHOOL REGISTRATION
Early registration for currently enrolled families and MPC members begins next Tuesday, January 21. You can now download the necessary forms at http://www.morningsidepc.org/preschool/registration_procedure.html. Please submit your application no later than February 2 as open registration will begin on Monday, February 3. Applications should be completed and returned to Sarah Tomaka, Preschool Director.

YOUTH ENSEMBLE
The winter session for the MPC Youth Ensemble begins next week January 22 with Wednesday practices for six weeks through February 26 at 6:30 p.m. and singing in worship on March 2. Contact Children's Choir Director Rebecca Shipley rebeccashipley@pop.mindspring.com as soon as possible to let her know that you will be participating.

CLIFTON SANCTUARY MINISTRIES DINNER
Get ready for MPC's Season of Service with dinner at Clifton Sanctuary Ministries on Saturday, January 25. Find out how we're making mission fun! Make a dish, bring a friend, serve a homeless man in need of your support, and join us for dinner afterward in Decatur at Taqueria del Sol. Please bring your dish to the shelter by 5:30 p.m. (meal service lasts until 6:30 p.m.). Children are welcome! WOMEN'S ROUNDTABLE
Women's Roundtable will meet on Monday, January 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Lynn Young (277 The Prado NE, 30309). MPP FUN-RAISER
Get ready to open your hearts and wallets for the 2014 MPP FUN-Raiser to be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, February 1 at Le Maison Rouge. The event promises to be a fun evening of celebrating our preschool and mingling with our extended MPP family. The centerpiece of the night will be a Live/Silent Auction featuring donated items from neighborhood merchants, MPP families, teachers and of course the art projects from each class!
