Chancel Choir

The Morningside Chancel Choir has been called one of "the best-kept secrets in Atlanta." The choir sings regularly at worship services throughout the year, providing a variety of choral and solo music, under the leadership of Walter Huff, Chorus Master of the Atlanta Opera Chorus. There is special music several times a year, including Palm Sunday, Easter, and the Advent season, which culminates in a well-loved candlelight Christmas Eve service at 8 p.m.

The excellence of Morningside's music program has attracted singers from all over the Atlanta area. Many of the choir members also sing with Walter Huff in the Atlanta Opera Chorus, and several have careers in music. Alumni of the choir include students in music programs from all over the country and professional singers in New York and other cities. Morningside Presbyterian Church is proud to have contributed to the training of singers in the best traditions of sacred music.
