• Large print hymnals and Bibles as well as hearing aids are available; ushers will gladly assist.

• Please complete the information in the

Friendship Pad at the end of the pews and pass the pads down and back again during the Concerns portion of worship.

• Children are welcomed and encouraged in worship every Sunday. Worship bags for children can be found in the Narthex.

• Childcare for 0-23 months is in Room 105, and Room 012 for 2 and 3 year olds.

• Pre-K/K go to Room 001.

WORSHIP READINESS

Worship Readiness for all elementary children is during the 11 a.m. worship hour. We ask that all elementary children (and parents too) join this class. This class meets on the 1st, 3rd and 4th Sundays through March 18. During these Sundays, we will dismiss during the passing of the peace and meet in the Youth Room (Room 107) down the nursery hall.

TAI CHI

It’s not too late to join the Tai Chi 8-week class. Join us each week at 4:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. If you would like to be part of this group, contact Bob Wells at wellscom@comcast.net

BECOME A MEMBER!

It is important to have a church home -- a place to worship God, a place to grow in your faith and to turn to in times of trouble. We invite you to join us in our journey of faith. If you are interested in becoming a member, please contact Baron.Mullis@morningsidepc.org

YOUTH CHOIR IS BEGINNING AGAIN!

Sixth through twelfth graders, come sing with Shannan O’Dowd beginning today at 5:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. 30 minute rehearsals!

REBECCA’S TENT

Male and female volunteers are welcome to join us at Shearith Israel Women’s Shelter, Rebecca’s Tent. We have committed to work today from 6 to 8 p.m. Please sign up on the Mission Board outside the church office if you can help. For questions, contact Phyllis Grimes grimes2230@bellsouth.net. We are also collecting $10 gift cards (Walmart and McDonald’s) for Valentine gifts for the women through January.

SHROVE TUESDAY PANCAKE SUPPER

Mark your calendars for our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper on February 13th from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Children are invited to wear their PJs. We ask that the congregation join us in donating new PJs, underwear and socks for children of all ages to be distributed by THREADS, an outreach to folks who need these items for their children. Coin banks will be distributed for children to raise funds throughout Lent for CHOA Programs like Coins for Clowns. Volunteer now for set up, greet and serve, or clean up for our pancake and pajama party. Many hands make light work in three short shifts. Contact Magan Ward magan.ward@gmail.com to volunteer.

LGBT & FRIENDS

Please join LGBT & Friends at the theatre this February! We will be seeing Angels in America Part 1 on Tuesday, February 13, and Angels in America Part 2 on Friday, February 16. Showtime for both performances is at 7:30 p.m. Each part of Angels in America runs 3 hours with two intermissions and is recommended for mature audiences. For tickets, please visit www.actors-express.com. Wait, there’s more! Join us for Perfect Arrangement at one of these two Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m., February 25 or March 4. If you would like to purchase tickets, visit www.theatricaloutfit.org. Please contact Michael Siedschlag with any questions, mwsiedschlag@gmail.com

SIGN ME UP!

Yes, that’s you! Want to hang out with MPC folks and make a difference in our city? In our world? Want to chaperone a youth lock-in - yes, who needs sleep? Or maybe you're interested in joining a small group? We can hook you up! On February 18 during Fellowship Hour after worship, our community outreach ministry shepherds, as well as some of our own ministry teams, will be available to share with you some of the opportunities they have for you to get involved. Food will be served and door prizes will be given away. If you have any questions contact BoardofDeacons@morningsidepc.org

HUNGER WALK AND RUN—FEBRUARY 25

Morningside will participate in the 2018 Hunger Walk Run, and we are hoping that you’ll join our team. Not only will we have a great time, we’ll have a great impact against hunger in our community! The money we raise will go a long way toward helping our neighbors in need. And the need is great right now. More than 1 in 4 Georgia children now live in a home where hunger is a regular worry. We hope that you will join us for this family friendly mission event.
