WORSHIP THIS SUNDAY

Welcome to worship at Morningside Presbyterian Church.

Rev. Dr. Baron Mullis, Senior Pastor is our preacher, and Ms. Emma Neishloss, Associate Pastor is our liturgist.

• Large print hymnals and Bibles as well as hearing aids are available; ushers will gladly assist.

• Please complete the information in the Friendship Pad at the end of the pews and pass the pads down and back again during the Concerns portion of worship.

• Children are welcomed and encouraged in worship every Sunday. Worship bags for children can be found in the Narthex.

• Childcare for 0-23 months is in Room 105, and Room 012 for 2 and 3 year olds.

• At the Passing of the Peace Pre-K/K go to Room 101.

WORSHIP READINESS

Last week we began our Worship Readiness Class for all elementary children during the 11 a.m. worship hour. We ask that all elementary children (and parents too) join this class. This class meets on the 1st, 3rd and 4th Sundays through March 18. During these Sundays, we will dismiss during the passing of the peace and meet in the Youth Room (Room 107) down the nursery hall.

BAPTISM TODAY

Colleen Elizabeth McClintock, daughter of Beth and Rob McClintock, will receive the sacrament of baptism this morning.

REGISTER FOR MPP

Have you desired to have your child become a student of Morningside Presbyterian Preschool? If so, the time to register is fast approaching. Registration opens for the community on Thursday, February 1. The registration fee is $100 and the application form is available on our website. Both should be turned in to Director Melinda Sandkam mpp@morningsidepc.org

ARTS SHOWCASE AND CAFE

You are invited Saturday, February 3 to Morningside’s Arts Showcase and Cafe. Art Gallery and refreshments begin at 5 p.m., followed by the stellar Cafe performances at 6 p.m. including folk music, musical theater and spoken word. Who will our MC be? Hint: she’s pretty funny. Did you know our nursery worker Courtney Smith makes art? See other artistic creations including paintings, wooden boxes, drawings, and some whimsical knitted dolls. Bring the whole family. Light refreshments will be provided. This event is organized by the Worship and Arts Committee.

INTERESTED IN GOING TO EUROPE?

REBECCA’S TENT

Male and female volunteers are welcome to join us at Shearith Israel Women’s Shelter, Rebecca’s Tent. We have committed to work from Wednesday, February 7 to Sunday, February 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. Please sign up on the Mission Board outside the church office if you can help. SAVE THE DATE—FEBRUARY 18

At Fellowship Hour hosted by the deacons, you can learn all the ways you can connect at Morningside and sign up on the spot at the Time and Talent Fair. Leaders of volunteer opportunities and small groups will share information on how you connect, educate, feed and build. There is something for everyone and all are welcome. Questions? Contact BoardofDeacons@morningsidepc.org

HUNGER WALK AND RUN—FEBRUARY 25

Morningside has decided to participate in the 2018 Hunger Walk Run, and we are hoping that you'll join our team. Not only will we have a great time, we’ll have a great impact against hunger in our community! The money we raise will go a long way toward helping our neighbors in need. And the need is great right now. More than 1 in 4 Georgia children now live in a home where hunger is a regular worry. We hope that you will join us for this family friendly mission event. Join or Donate to Team by going to http://engage.acfb.org/site/TR?team_id=35670&pg=team&fr_id=1856&et=18ZBXMdDCLYSWTJj7SVFZw&s_tafId=15310
