WORSHIP THIS SUNDAY 

Welcome to worship at Morningside Presbyterian Church. 

Sarah Are, Interim Director of Youth Ministries is our preacher and Beth Waltemath, Associate for Mission and Faith Development is our liturgist. 

• Large print hymnals and Bibles as well as hearing aids are available; ushers will gladly assist. 

• Please complete the information in the Friendship Pad at the end of the pews and pass the pads down and back again during the Concerns portion of worship. 

• Children are welcomed and encouraged in worship every Sunday. Worship bags for children can be found in the Narthex. Those who wish to attend Sunday School may do so after the Peace of Christ. 

• Childcare for 0-23 months is in Room 105, and Room 012 for 2 and 3 year olds. 

• Pre-K/K are in room 001. 

• 1st through 3rd grade in room 003. 

 

CHRISTIAN SYMPATHY 

Our Christian sympathy is extended to Jon and Ali Bradway and their children on the passing of Jon’s mother, Susan Tilley Bradway. Please join us in surrounding the Bradway family with prayers and love. 

 

HIRE BIENFAIT 

Bienfait Kinumbe, the father of our refugee family, is seeking employment. His trade is painting which he gained a lot of experience in while working as a painter in Uganda, where they were in a refugee camp for many years. If anyone in our congregation knows of a company that employs painters, or if someone needs painting done themselves please contact Katye Watts katyemae@gmail.com

 

RHO READERS 

Our co-ed book group, the RHO Readers, will follow a fantastic story that involves our 16th President, today at 12:30 p.m. in the Session Room. All are welcome to join! 

 

WOMEN’S ROUNDTABLE

ICM ARTS AND EATS 

Come to the Atlanta History Center (130 West Paces Ferry Rd, Atlanta 30305) and experience the 5th annual Arts and Eats fundraiser on April 30 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. that will benefit homeless and hungry families and children. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED 

Volunteers are needed to transport our refugee family to and from church weekly. Bienfait and his family live in Clarkston, and wish to become members. The only requirement is to have a car with three seat belts in the back. To volunteer please contact Katye Watts katyemae@gmail.com and she will direct you to the Sign Up Genius website. 

 

THEOLOGY ON TAP 

Our next Theology on Tap will be hosted by Bob Wells on Tuesday, May 2 at 7 p.m. Bob and Rosemary can be found at 1466 Lanier Place, Atlanta 30306.This will be our final Theology on Tap before breaking for the summer. Theology on Tap will return on Tuesday, September 5. 

 

CONGREGATIONAL LUNCH 

Our first congregational lunch of the year will be on Sunday, May 7 during fellowship hour. This congregational lunch will be a lot different from the rest. Why you ask? Because it’s going to be a fundraiser for the youth! 

 

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 

MPC invites all children to get ready for VBS! The fun begins on Monday, June 12, and ends Thursday, June 15 from 9 a.m. to noon. VBS is for children in rising Pre-K who will be four by September 1, through rising 5th graders. Child care will be available for children of volunteers who are younger than four years old. HABITAT BUILD 

Home is where love resides, laughter never ends, friends always belong, and memories are created. You can be a part of the start of this creation for the Valdez family by volunteering to help build this loving family a house. Anyone 16 years or older can sign up. CELEBRATE MOMS 

Join MPC’s Children’s Ministry for a celebration of moms on Sunday, May 14. We will have a social gathering on the patio from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. complete with flowers, sweet treats, and photos! Whether you attend our Second Sunday @8:45 or the 11 a.m. service, you are welcome to enjoy the fun. We look forward to seeing you there!
