MAKING OUR CITY (AND OUR WORLD) A LITTLE SMALLER & KINDER

Too often it seems we are divided up by neighborhood and demographics. But one Morningside initiative is seeking to change that. We are partnering with John Wesley Dobbs Elementary School in order to get to know them and let them get to know us. Dobbs is about 20 minutes away from Morningside down Briarcliff Road and is in the cluster of schools served by our own Leslie Grant on the school board. We are meeting on Wednesday, September 7 at 7 p.m. in the Session Room to make some plans and brainstorm some ideas about how to live out this partnership. If you are looking for an oppor-tunity to do something for someone other than yourself or your family, remember, there’s nothing more Presbyterian than supporting education.

THEOLOGY ON TAP

Theology on Tap is awakening from it’s summer slumber. We will meet Tuesday, September 13 at 7 p.m. Bill means will host at the home of Pam and Ken Sharpe (1700 Timberland Road, Atlanta, 30345). Please note this is a schedule change. We usually meet first Tuesday of the month, but the first Monday of September is Labor Day.

PRESCHOOL OPENING

Is or will your child be 3 years old by Thursday, September 1? If so, then you are welcome to apply for the opening at Morningside Presbyterian Preschool. Contact Melinda mpp@morningsidepc.org today if you are still seeking an excellent early childhood education experience for your three year old for the 2016-2017 school year!

You are able to adapt the practice to your own speed and com-fort level, which also allows you to get in touch with your body.
