LENTEN BANNERS

Lenten Banner #1 entitled Hand in Hand

Amidst the Journey represents the beginning of

Lent with the unsettled turmoil that we come

with to the beginning of Lent. The issues of life,

questions, cares and deep sighs of the soul along

with the story of Jesus’ death stir us deeply. The

maroons, golds, rusts and burgundy batik fabrics

represent the thunderstorm of emotions that

come with Lent.

Lenten Banner #2 entitled Labor Along the

Journey represents the last few weeks of Lent.

The thunderstorm has subsided. We are coming

to the end of Lent. Though many questions and

concerns linger the peace of Christ walks with us

along the journey. The work or labor continues

but the reassurance of the holy love of God

through Jesus gives us comfort. The batik fabric

shades of blue, gold and rusts represent the calming

and comfort of God as we come to the last

few weeks of Lent.
