fives are in Room 011, and K-5th grade is in

Room 001.

YOUTH GROUP RESUMES

This afternoon, Middle Schoolers will meet at

4:30 p.m., followed by games, music and supper

for all levels, then the Senior High meeting begins

at 6:30 p.m. This year, both groups will

continue to be led by Drew Stockstill and Landon

Dillard, with activities and Bible discussion

geared appropriately to age level. Please join us!

THIS I BELIEVE

While in the Presbyterian tradition the work of

preaching is assigned to the clergy, Christian faith

has a long history of testimony. Next Sunday, August

23, our popular series This I Believe continues

with three Morningside members (Peter

Chatel, Katye Watts, and Kent Balch) speaking

about their faith and what shapes their core values.

LITURGICAL ARTS DAY CAMP

Morningside Presbyterian Church is excited

to offer a one day, hands on camp for children

to explore the liturgical world through

archaeology, natural sciences, and art.

Jane Arant is an award-winning musician

who has served as faculty to the Yale University

Congregations Project for children's

liturgical arts programs. Jane will lead our

children through an archaeological dig to

find liturgical artifacts, use math and science

to predict height and weight of people

today as well as in Biblical times, and much,

much more.

This dynamic, one day program will be first

offered to rising 4th through 6th graders on

Saturday, August 29 from 10 a.m. to

3 p.m. Children are asked to bring their

Faith Development at Morningside

ADULT

This fall Adult Faith Development at Morningside is focusing on deepening our engagement with and understanding of the Bible. We begin next Sunday with Drew Stockstill leading a two-week conversation on why the Bible matters for Christians today and how committing to reading God's Holy Scriptures as a regular practice can deepen our faith and strengthen our discipleship. This class will meet the next two Sundays at 9:45 a.m. in Room 201.

CHILDREN

Preschool children will hear about a loving gift Jesus received from his friend Mary in the story I Love You, Jesus!
