WORSHIP THIS SUNDAY

Welcome to worship at Morningside Presbyterian

Church. Baron Mullis, Senior Pastor,

will be our preacher, and Drew Stockstill,

Associate Pastor, will be our liturgist. Please

complete the information in the Friendship Pad

at the end of the pews and pass the pads down

and back again during the Concerns portion of

worship. Worship notebooks and books for

children are in the library. Nursery for infants

and toddlers is in Room 105; 2-3 year olds are

in Room 012. Children ages 2-10 are invited to

leave after the Peace of Christ for special classes:

Fours and fives in Room 011; K-1st grade

in Room 001; 2nd-3rd grade in Room 003;

4th-5th grade in worship.

SERVICE MUSIC

The Lord is My Shepherd was written by English

composer Howard Goodall. Lester Morris donated

this anthem to the Glory of God and to

honor the Ministry of the Reverend Dr. Baron

A. Mullis at Morningside Presbyterian Church.

The Lord is My Shepherd, heard on the BBC’s

popular show “The Vicar of Dibley,” is a sweet

setting of Psalm 23. Traditionally, the opening

solo is sung by a young treble and Mia Smith

will uphold that tradition in today’s musical offering.

CONFIRMANDS

The following youth will receive confirmation

this morning: Clyde Bresnahan, Anthony

Cochran, Lauren Fairleigh, Olivia Hunter, Kate

Jern, Elizabeth Jern, Emma Lawson, Alli Lee,

Will Lee, Tristin Loomis, Anna McKelvey,

Caroline Parrish, Charlotte Spears, Will Tanner,

and Sofia Zook.

WE CELEBRATE OUR INTERN

Since September of last year, Morningside has

enjoyed the benefit of Josh Stanley’s teaching,

preaching, worship leadership and general all

around good nature. Josh is away at a wedding

this morning, but good news: he will return as

one of our children’s worship leaders next fall.

We will also then be joined by a new class of interns

from Columbia Seminary and Candler

School of Theology. Well done, Josh! We are

grateful for your time with us.

WOMEN'S ROUNDTABLE

We're putting a Mexican twist on things this

month! Members and friends are invited to join

us for an evening of food and fun at El Taco

(1186 North Highland Avenue 30306) tomorrow,

April 27 at 6:30 p.m. RSVP to Sarah

Brownlee at rsbrownlee1046@att.net.

WE INVITE YOU TO SHARE

If you have some good news in the family, we

would love to hear about it. We currently

share the joy of welcoming a new member to

the family, but we would also like to know if

you have received an award, been appointed to

a committee, been in a recent production of a

play, opera, etc. You get the idea! Please send

your information to Anna Best in the church office

office@morningsidepc.org. Your good

news will be shared with the congregation as

part of the “Did You Know…” portion of the

weekly eNews.
