A Time of Promise             

Morningside Presbyterian launched its first-ever capital campaign in March 2006 to address wear-and-tear on our aging building, as well as to make access to all four levels welcoming and accessible to all. So far, the church has raised more than $1.5 million of the total $1.9 million needed to complete the work. Progress to date has included eliminating more than 31 points of water intrusion, refurbishing the Sanctuary including improvements to the sound and lighting systems, and completely rebuilding our magnificent pipe organ. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2008 to create a new, totally accessible entry patio and gathering space, with elevator access to the classroom, office and Fellowship Hall levels, and men's and women's restrooms on the main floor.

In addition, relocation of staff offices and a reception area near the main entrance will provide a focal point to greet members and visitors during the day.
