THOUGHT OF THE WEEK
Love always involves responsibility, and love always involves sacrifice. And we do not really love Christ unless we are prepared to face His task and to take up His Cross. - William Barclay

SHROVE TUESDAY PANCAKE SUPPER AND PAJAMA PARTY
All are invited to celebrate Shrove Tuesday at our annual MPC and Preschool Pancake Supper and Pajama Party tonight, March 4, from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Enjoy dinner for the whole family while Bill Packard - The Magic Man - delights kids and adults with his tricks and antics! We will collect NEW pajamas, socks and underwear for THREADS, a children's clothing ministry of All Saints Episcopal Church. Children are invited to wear pajamas!

ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE
Lent begins at Morningside with our worship service and imposition of ashes this Wednesday, March 5 at 7 p.m. Child care will be available.

COINS FOR CHILDREN
Be sure to pick up a coin bank at Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper or next Sunday in order to help us raise funds for the programs at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta during Lent. These funds support the clown program and other programs which support patients and their families at Children's.

30TH HUNGER WALK/RUN
Join the Morningside family for the 30th Hunger Walk/Run after church this Sunday, March 9. This event is facilitated by the MPC Young Adults in partnership with the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta. The Hunger Walk/Run benefits six local hunger relief organizations that operate and support hundreds of food pantries, shelters, community kitchens, senior centers and child care centers across metro Atlanta and north Georgia. To join the team just go to http://www.acfb.org/ food-fund-drives and click "Join a Team." Then search Morningside Presbyterian and join in the fun. You can wear your new MPC T-shirt! For more information contact Katye Watts katyemae@gmail.com.
