This Sunday, Morningside Youth and Chris Peters will help lead our class by discussing their experience in Mission Immersion last summer in Asheville. Chris will preview the 2014 mission trip to work with Government Street Presbyterian in Mobile, AL, and talk about why sending youth (and adults) "out" in mission really matters!

Children: Preschoolers will hear the Godly Play story The Good Shepherd and the Lost Sheep and make their own sheep puppet. Elementary classes will read Matthew 7:24-28 in which Jesus challenges his followers to choose between wisdom and foolishness.

THOUGHT OF THE WEEK
There's a world of difference between truth and facts. Facts can obscure the truth.
- Maya Angelou

LGBT & FRIENDS
The LGBT & Friends meeting canceled due to the January ice storm will be held in Fellowship Hall tonight, February 18, at 7 p.m. After dinner, Baron will lead the discussion on "Marriage Equality in the Church." All are welcome. RSVP to lgbtandfriends@morningsidepc.org.

OUR HOUSE PRESCHOOL
Our House is a Decatur preschool that serves children facing homelessness. A great way to participate in this outreach is to attend their fundraiser at Piedmont Estate and Gardens this Saturday, February 22, at 6:30 p.m. The evening will include dinner, drinks, entertainment and a silent/live auction and wine/whiskey tasting. Visit www.ourhousega.org to purchase tickets. MPC Young Adults are especially invited to volunteer at the event as a service activity. Sign up with Katye Watts katyemae@gmail.com.

~ OUR SEASON OF SERVICE CONTINUES ~

~ CELEBRATING OUR MONTH OF SERVICE
Following worship this Sunday, February 23, everyone is invited down to Fellowship Hall to view a movie celebrating our month of service - and to kick off our continued commitment to serve those in need! The Couples Group has generously gone along with our "movie" theme in providing treats for Fellowship Hour, so be sure to visit the "concession stand" before finding a seat. Many thanks to all those who have made the Season of Service a great event!

~ SENIOR WORKDAY
(Yard work and minor repairs with HOMES)
Rescheduled for Saturday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
due to last week's snow and ice

Mark your calendars NOW! More information will follow.

~ PJs ETC.
We are collecting new pajamas, underwear and socks for children served by THREADS. This outreach provides children of all ages a "shopping" environment for new and gently-used clothing. Please remember larger sizes are needed as well as the wee ones. Bring your donations by March 4 to the Welcome Center baskets.
~ HABITAT BUILD
Our annual spring Habitat build begins this Saturday, February 22. Sign up on the mission bulletin board to build on one of the six Saturdays. Contact shepherd Lynsley Tyler with questions lynsley@bellsouth.net.
~ WOMEN'S ROUNDTABLE
All are welcome for dinner at 6:30 p.m. next Monday, February 24 at Lynn Young's home (277 The Prado, 30309) and to hear Anne Sayre, president of Evangelical Center for Pastoral Studies of Central America USA, speak on international mission. She works with Guatemala in the areas of Women's Ministry, Intercultural Encounters, Biblical and Theological Interpretation and Disaster Ministry. RSVP to rsbrownlee1046@att.net.
