*THE PROCESSIONAL HYMN 264  When in Our Music God is Glorified  ENGELBERG

THE CALL TO CONFESSION

THE PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Eternal God, remind us of our baptism as we prepare to come to your table. Remind us of your unconditional love poured out for all of creation. Remind us of your body given for us that we might know the depth and width of your love for humankind. And reminding us of these things, let us be honest with ourselves and you about our failures. Where we have failed to love as you love, forgive us. Where we have lived only for ourselves, forgive us. Give us the grace to recognize our faults and to be fed in grace that we might be a blessing to the world, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

A MOMENT OF SILENCE (for examination of conscience and personal prayers of confession)

THE ASSURANCE OF PARDON

Leader: God proves his love for us in that while we still were sinners, Christ died for us.

People: For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his son, much more surely, having been reconciled, will we be saved by his life.

Leader: Believe the promise of the Gospel:

People: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! -Romans 5:8, 10

*THE CONGREGATIONAL RESPONSE  Hymn 341

This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long; this is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long.

*THE PEACE OF CHRIST

THE HYMN SING

During worship today, we will join in a 15-20 minute hymn sing. This process assures that our organist can have the music readily available and that the congregation has access to the words. An index of titles can be found in the back of your pew hymnal. Have your hymn number/title ready and raise your hand!
