*THE PROCESSIONAL HYMN 108  Christ is Alive!  TRURO

(Verses 1-4)

THE CALL TO CONFESSION

THE PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Risen Lord, resurrected savior, today we still praise you who overcame death and reconciled humanity. However, we confess that we are quick to forget. We did not get the chance to see the tomb. Our hands did not touch your hands or your side. Without seeing you Lord, we quickly forget the truth of the resurrection. Remind us this morning of the power of faith. Today, help us to proclaim again that Christ is alive! Embolden us to live every day as a proclamation of the truth of the Gospel; Christ is alive! Amen.

A MOMENT OF SILENCE (for examination of conscience and personal prayers of confession)

THE ASSURANCE OF PARDON

Leader: Indeed, we rely not on ourselves, but on God, who raises the dead.

People: He rescued us from the peril and will continue to rescue us.

Leader: In Christ we can place our hope and our trust.

People: On Christ we can rely.

Leader: Trust in the promise of the Gospel:

People: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven! -2 Corinthians 1:9-10
