* THE CALL TO WORSHIP - Sofia Zook
Leader: Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.
People: Worship the Lord with gladness; come into his presence with singing.
Leader: Know that the Lord is God. It is he that made us, and we are his; we are his people,
and the sheep of his pasture.
People: Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise. Give
thanks to him, bless his name.
Leader: For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all
generations.
- Psalm 100

* THE PROCESSIONAL HYMN 469  Morning Has Broken

THE CALL TO CONFESSION - Charlotte Spears

THE PRAYER OF CONFESSION - Caroline Parrish
Our Father, we confess that we have sinned. While you made us to be kind, hate
can fill our hearts. While you made us to be considerate and helpful, we sometimes
neglect those in need. We confess that even though we were made in your
image, we fall short of what you want us to be. Lord, be merciful to us and help us
to live in your image. Amen

A MOMENT OF SILENCE (for examination of conscience and personal prayers of confession)

THE ASSURANCE OF PARDON - Frances Adams
Leader: Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel also was among those who called his name. They cried to the Lord and he answered them.
People: He spoke to them, in the pillar of cloud. They kept his decrees and the statutes that he gave them.
Leader: O Lord, our God, you answered them, you were a forgiving God to them, but an avenger of their wrongdoings.
People: Extol the Lord our God, and worship at his holy mountain for the Lord is Holy.
Leader: Believe in the promise of the Gospel
People: In Jesus Christ we are forgiven.

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus
Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the
Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he
descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into
heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he
shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy
catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection
of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
